King prophet David's best and gifted son that in the end amazed the world.

After David (peace be upon him), Solomon (peace be upon him) succeeded him as his son. God had bestowed upon him at a very young age knowledge and wisdom of great virtue. Besides the immense power and wisdom he possessed, he prayed that God would grant him a kingdom that would not be worthy of anyone after him. God accepted their prayer, and they became a powerful ruler who governed not only humans but also jinn (genies), and groups of jinn and devils worked for him, while others were enslaved and their will was under Solomon’s (peace be upon him) control. In addition to this, God taught them the language of animals and creatures. Therefore, animals and living beings became obedient to his command. Even the wind came under Solomon’s (peace be upon him) authority, traveling a month's distance in the morning and another month at night, going wherever Solomon (peace be upon him) wished.

King Solomon
And Sulaiman was Dawood's heir, and he said: O men! we have been taught the language of birds, and we have been given all things; most surely this is manifest grace.[16] And before Solomon were marshalled his hosts,- of Jinns and men and birds, and they were all kept in order and ranks.[17] When they came to the Valley of Ants, an ant said, ‘O ants! Enter your dwellings, lest Solomon and his hosts should trample on you while they are unaware.[18] So he smiled, wondering at her word, and said: My Lord! grant me that I should be grateful for Thy favor which Thou hast bestowed on me and on my parents, and that I should do good such as Thou art pleased with, and make me enter, by Thy mercy, into Thy servants, the good ones.[19]
Holy quran: 27-Naml (verses 16-19)

One day, King Solomon (peace be upon him) was moving with his army towards the land of Ants. As he passed through this land, an ant said to the other ants, “Gather together and return to your homes, lest Solomon and his army crush you.” Solomon (peace be upon him) smiled at this speech and praised God. Suddenly, he realized that his messenger bird, the vulture, was not present in the army. He became distraught and said, "If he does not appear quickly and has no reason for his absence, I will either sacrifice him or inflict a severe punishment upon him.” The vulture returned and announced news that Solomon (peace be upon him) was unaware of – news from the land of Sheba!

And he reviewed the birds, then said: How is it I see not the hoopoe or is it that he is of the absentees?[20] I will most certainly punish him with a severe punishment, or kill him, or he shall bring to me a clear plea.[21] And he tarried not long, then said: I comprehend that which you do not comprehend and I have brought to you a sure information from Sheba.[22] Surely I found a woman ruling over them, and she has been given abundance and she has a mighty throne:[23] I found her and her people prostrating to the sun instead of Allah, and Satan has made their deeds seem decorous to them—thus he has barred them from the way [of Allah], so they are not guided—[24] That they do not make obeisance to Allah, Who brings forth what is hidden in the heavens and the earth and knows what you hide and what you make manifest:[25] Allah—there is no god except Him—is the Lord of the Great Throne[26]

The ruler of the land of Sheba was a woman named Bilqis. They worshipped something other than God (the sun). Bilqis was powerful in that land and possessed a magnificent throne. Solomon (peace be upon him) told the vulture, “Initially, we will investigate whether you are telling the truth or lying to others! Take this letter and place it on their corner, and observe what reaction they show.

He said: We will see whether you have told the truth or whether you are of the liars:[27] Take this my letter and hand it over to them, then turn away from them and see what (answer) they return.[28] She said: O chief! surely an honorable letter has been delivered to me[29] Surely it is from Sulaiman, and surely it is in the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful[30] Saying: exalt not yourselves against me and come to me in submission.[31]
Holy quran: 27-Naml (verse 27-31)

The Queen of Sheba consulted her advisors about this letter, seeking their counsel to make a wise decision: However, Queen Bilqis discussed with her noblemen the consequences of rejecting Solomon’s (peace be upon him) invitation: “To test King Solomon (peace be upon him), I will send him gifts to see if he accepts them or not.

She said: O chiefs! give me advice respecting my affair: I never decide an affair until you are in my presence.[32] They said: We are possessors of strength and possessors of mighty prowess, and the command is yours, therefore see what you will command.[33] She said: Surely the kings, when they enter a town, ruin it and make the noblest of its people to be low, and thus they (always) do;[34] And surely I am going to send a present to them, and shall wait to see what (answer) do the apostles bring back.[35] So when he came to Sulaiman, he said: What! will you help me with wealth? But what Allah has given me is better than what He has given you. Nay, you are exultant because of your present;[36] Go back to them, so we will most certainly come to them with hosts which they shall have no power to oppose, and we will most certainly expel them therefrom in abasement, and they shall be in a state of ignominy.[37] He said: O chiefs! which of you can bring to me her throne before they come to me in submission?[38]

But Solomon (peace be upon him) became very angry at this action and told his messengers, “Whatever God has given me is more valuable than your gifts; I do not need your offerings. Now return to my queen and tell her that I am coming with an army capable of confronting them.

An afreet from among the jinn said, ‘I will bring it to you before you rise from your place. I have the power to do it and am trustworthy[39] One who had the knowledge of the Book said: I will bring it to you in the twinkling of an eye. Then when he saw it settled beside him, he said: This is of the grace of my Lord that He may try me whether I am grateful or ungrateful; and whoever is grateful, he is grateful only for his own soul, and whoever is ungrateful, then surely my Lord is Self-sufficient, Honored.[40] He said: Alter her throne for her, we will see whether she follows the right way or is of those who do not go aright.[41] So when she came, it was said: Is your throne like this? She said: It is as it were the same, and we were given the knowledge before it, and we were submissive.[42] And what she worshipped besides Allah prevented her, surely she was of an unbelieving people.[43] It was said to her: Enter the palace; but when she saw it she deemed it to be a great expanse of water, and bared her legs. He said: Surely it is a palace made smooth with glass. She said: My Lord! surely I have been unjust to myself, and I submit with Sulaiman to Allah, the Lord of the worlds[44]

Then he turned to the courtiers around him and said, "Who can bring me the throne of Sheba before they come to surrender?" Two people volunteered, one a djinn (jinn) from the jinn realm (who swore to be a trustworthy messenger), and another a very pious man who possessed extensive knowledge granted by God. Some sources suggest that he was likely Asaf bin Birhiya. After seeing his own throne intact and unharmed, and being astonished, King Solomon invited him to visit his palace:
